'Goliath' Phlox yields tall clusters of wonderfully fragrant purple blooms that add height, color and immediate joy to the summer garden. temperatures; the lower the zone number the colder the winter.
If the coldest winter temperature expected in your area is -15°F (zone 5) then any plants rated zones 3-5 will
survive the winter temperatures in your area.
If you live in very warm winter areas (zones 9-11) plants with zones 3-4 ratings are not recommended. The lack
of freezing winter temperatures do not provide a time for winter dormancy (rest).

This tall garden phlox variety has fragrant lavender-purple flowers with white eyes in cone-shaped clusters on top of sturdy stems. Individual plants grow up to 2 ½ - 3’ tall. They’re excellent cut flowers and pair well in the garden with other phlox and native summer-blooming perennials. Plant with ‘David’ phlox for a knockout show. ‘Goliath’ is resistant to powdery mildew. Deer, for the most part, also leave it alone. Blooms in midsummer. Grow in moist, well-drained soil. Butterflies, bees, hummingbirds, and other pollinators love ‘Goliath’ phlox, so include it in any pollinator garden plans. Sure to become a favorite summer flower.
