With upright architectural foliage and saturated colors, Cannas have a bold presence that makes them popular in container plantings and a wide range of garden styles. Tall Cannas perform well in containers, bringing height and privacy to terraces and courtyards. Native to semi-tropical and tropical parts of North and South America and the Caribbean, Cannas have been cultivated for centuries and were one of the earliest domesticated plants in the Americas. Easy to grow and widely adaptable, they prefer rich, well-drained soil, plenty of water, and sunny locations. Deadhead plants throughout the summer to keep Cannas blooming. Cannas are hardy in zones 7-10; In cooler regions (zones 2-6), they can be grown as annuals or brought indoors over winter before the first frost.
As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge.
