Description
Dahlias are perennial in zones 8-10, but in cooler zones, tubers can be dug after frost comes, stored over winter, then re-planted the following spring. Grow Dahlias in a sunny spot, in average soil that drains well. Keep moisture consistent once it begins to grow and enjoy a non-stop color parade. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage more flowers and pinch off small side buds to encourage larger flowers if desired.

Much taller than expected!
"I got 3 roots of the Boom Boom white dahlia. Two were for mmy front bed, so i just stuck the other one in the bed beside my house. The front two are about 2-3 feet high, but the one beside the house is 4 ro 5 feet tall and has several blooms, and growing more! I've left the blooms on the plant and dead headed them, but I'm certain they would make lovely and long lasting cut flowers as well. Very pretty semi-ball shaped, off white flowers."
