How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
Dahlias are perennial in zones 8-10, but in cooler zones, tubers can be dug after frost comes, stored over winter, then re-planted the following spring. Grow Dahlias in a sunny spot, in average soil that drains well. Keep moisture consistent once it begins to grow and enjoy a non-stop color parade. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage more flowers and pinch off small side buds to encourage larger flowers if desired.
As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge. See our shipping information page for approximate ship dates and more detailed information. If you have any questions, please call Customer Service at (802) 227-7200 or contact us by email or chat.

"Beautiful as always!"
"Took awhile to take hold, but the results were great."
"It's healthy, gorgeous, the flowers are huge and they just keep blooming. I love it."
"This plant is stunning and huge! Absolutely fantastic to look at, I'm thrilled."
"Stunning coral color. My blooms were huge without disbudding. Plant grew tall and strong."
"These blooms are a beautiful color - true to the picture. Mine are more of a dessert plate size, but given the color, they are still worth it. They add a lot of pop to a garden!"
"As always this dahlia performed well. They always do from American meadows! This color is unique, it is bold enough to stan out in garden although still considered a pastel type color. I would say it was a deep coral/salmon color which is usually not bright enough. Looked nice next to lady darlene dahlia. Perfect color for vase arrangement, goes well with most other colors. Will purchase more next year."
"THIS IS A VERY REWARDING PLANT. IT HAS THE PRETTIEST PINK COLOR AND PRODUCES VERY LARGE MAGNIFICENT BLOOMS. IT IS VERY EASY TO GROW."
