Overview
'Golden Bells' Miniature Daffodil charms with dainty golden cups atop stars of small basal petals. Cheery, upward-facing blooms extend the daffodil season from late spring through early summer. Once established, each bulb can produce up to 15 flowers for masses of buttercup yellow color. Their dwarf size and narrow leaf blades make 'Golden Bells' ideal for naturalizing in lawns and meadows. Description
(6-8" tall) 'Golden Bells' Miniature Daffodil packs a lot of flower power into a small bulb. With their short stature, 'Golden Bells' make a dynamite container plant. Daffodils are critter-resistant, so you don't have to worry about hungry deer, rabbits, or squirrels. Plant in masses along walkways and border edges where you can easily gather handfuls of cuttings to bring indoors. Daffodils make long-lasting cut flowers, just remember not to mingle them with other bulbs, as they speed up the fading of other flowers. Easy to grow in full to partial sun, where plants will naturally multiple under good growing conditions. In containers, provide adequate drainage and during bloom-time. Plants perform best in neutral to acidic soils. These little beauties return year after year in hardiness zones 3 to 8. Allow the foliage to mature and die down naturally rather than cutting it back to help recharge bulbs.
