Overview
The many colors of Sorbet Daffodil make it stand out from other Daffodils. The corona, or cup, of this lovely narcissus is split into a star-shaped inner flower of orange, yellow and ivory, which is then framed starkly against a background of luminous white. The effect is electrifying. ‘Sorbet’ blooms in mid-spring and should be planted in well-drained soil in full sun or light shade. Deer resistant. (Narcissus ‘Sorbet’)

Description

(12-18” tall) A daffodil for the collector of the fun, jazzy and exciting, Sorbet Daffodil (Narcissus ‘Sorbet’) not only makes a great statement in the mid-spring garden, but decorates vases for indoor splashes of glamour. ‘Sorbet’ is a split corona Daffodil, which means that its cup is separated into sections that lie on top of the actual petals. In the case of ‘Sorbet,’ those sections are slightly incurved and give the entire 4” flower a pinwheel effect in colors of scarlet-orange and deep yellow. A green eye and a background of pure white petals completes the effect. Daffodils are remarkably carefree spring bulbs that add bright color to the awakening landscape but don’t attract the attention of deer – a huge bonus for many. Plant 6” deep in well-drained soil in full sun to light shade.
