All those petals need a bit of protection from extreme weather, so plant in a location sheltered from strong winds and rain. Try tucking bulbs into containers that you can set near the doorway to enjoy the bright, lush blooms. 'Orange Princess' is hardy in zones 3 through 8. Late double tulips perform best in cool locations with a late spring. Plant in well-draining soil in full to partial sun.
