Description

(24-60" tall x 12-15" wide) Canada Lily is a spectacular wildflower found in moist, part-shade areas of North America, and it makes an interesting addition to a garden setting. At up to 4 feet tall, it grows nicely amongst other perennials, and with abundant orange, red or yellow flowers, it’s a spectacular addition to a partial shade garden. Ranging in colors of orange, yellow, and red, the petals are reflexed and the blossoms face downward. The pollinator-friendly plant has trumpet-shaped flowers perfectly sized to hummingbirds’ beaks - especially Ruby-Throated Hummingbirds! This native plant is happy in enriched loamy soil that is moist and drains well. Canada Lily is found in eastern North America, from Northeastern Canadian Provinces down to Georgia and Alabama in the southern US, though it’s most common in New England and the Appalachian Mountains.
