Description
A Tall Bearded in the neglecta style, 'Lone Wolf' (Iris germanica) blooms on sturdy branching stalks that feature multiple blooms on each stem. With up to 8 flowers on each stem, 'Lone Wolf' Bearded Iris is anything but lonely.
Majestic Bearded Irises are easy to grow, and some of the most persistent perennial flowers available. Late spring blooms offer a colorful display to bridge the gap between spring-blooming bulbs and summer-blooming perennials. Distinctive sword-shaped foliage adds elegant texture to the garden, even after blooms have passed. Reblooming varieties offer a second fall bloom. Bearded Irises grow from rhizomes, or bulbous roots that grow at a right angle from the foliage. In most areas, Bearded Irises need least 6-8 hours of sunlight a day, while in hotter climates (zones 8-11), they will need some daily shade. Over time, they will spread and multiply to add even more flowers to your garden.
