Fragrant Favorite - Love these sweet lilies.

"I've grown the Casa Blanca for years, it's a favorite of mine. The sweet scent is such a welcome treat and fills the house with its beautiful fragrance when cut. The blooms stay for a good while in the garden beds, as well as when cut in a vase. I do get the red lily beetles every year, but as long as I'm on it early these do well still despite the beetles. I go out early and check for any sign of the red beetles, then knock any I see into soapy water. I do this a couple of times a day once I've seen any sign of their return. Seems to do the trick if I start early enough in the season to disrupt their lifecycle. The Casa Blanca's seem to be less affected than some of the other lilies I grow. Another tip, if you cut the anthers off the stamens (where the pollen is) this helps for anyone with allergies. As a bonus, no pollen staining on your pristine white flowers either. These are a favorite and light up my midsummer garden, especially at night went the moon is out. I've got a moonlight garden and these are a big highlight every year. They come back reliably every new year, so easy! I always forget to take good pictures of these, because they are such a delight for all the other senses."

Only one of 5 bulbs bloomed

"Planted 5 bulbs and only one grew and bloomed. It was beautiful and fragrant but disappointed the others didn't."

such a wonderful Lily!

"I planted 8 last fall. They all bud in early spring, very easy to care, growing fast, only need a bit fertilizer and watering them in hot summer days. Every one of them give 4-6 flower buds, now they bloom hug flowers and the fragrance is so pleasant, can be smelled the entire backyard, even though I planted them in the front yard. I pulled out the stamens and leave the pistils, the flower should last longer according to my friend. My friend has them as cutting flowers and fragrance filled the entire room. In Fall, I will expect find more bulbs underground and can expand them. Definitely worth buying it!"
