Overview
'Rosea' Turtlehead will burst into bloom in late summer, when most other flowers have faded. This gorgeous native has showy, rose-pink clusters of unusual blooms (said to resemble open-mouthed turtles) that sit atop 2-3' tall plants with leafy green foliage. Beautiful when planted en masse, and tolerant of moist soils and wetlands, Turtlehead makes a unique addition to full sun and part shade gardens. Deer and rabbit resistant. (Chelone obliqua)
