Bird's Foot Trefoil In the Bee Yard

"We noticed that honeybees were all over a patch of Bird's Foot Trefoil along the edge of our road and decided to purchase seeds to sow around the area of a meadow that we have set aside as a bee yard. The Fact that it is a lovely plant with bright yellow blooms, is hardy, can be mowed and kept tidy, bees love it made perfect sense to use this plant as part of a pollinator "garden/meadow. " So far we haven't found anything negative about this plant."

Burst of color

"I have about 30 spices from you & I mixed them & planted them in SEP 2008, in 2009 I had a nice spate of flowers but this Spring I already have tons of plants showing. These are being used to fill a hill next to the house. the place is just bare. I think this year I may see more like a mini meadow. I will be planting more this Autumn."

Not for shade

"I bought this to mix with grass for an area under small trees with dappled light and shade. Very few plants came up. The ones I have are pretty, though."
