Why include Chinese flowers??

"I'm so disappointed! I trusted American Meadows as a source of US native plants and didn't didn't read the full seed list for the mix. Now I have Chinese forget-me-nots coming up all over my native garden. Just so unnecessary!! Some other flowers grew, but the vast majority are Chinese :("

Never!

"This mix contains MOSTLY forget-me-nots…a sweet little blue cluster of flowers. EACH flower is followed by a pesty, nasty burr that contains next years seed, but also sticks to EVERYTHING including clothing and shoes when weeding. Out they go!! NEVER AGAIN!"

Great service

"I have a huge backyard I'm re-landscaping. Im using these flowers plus more I bought from American meadows. I researched before I bought and found the best reviews for American meadows seeds and bulbs. The iris I received were large fat risomes. Also the seeds I received were packaged in cloth bags and all the seeds look clean and healthy. I haven't planted yet because it's a little too early and I'm still preparing my soil. I will try to remember to post pictures of my final results next spring. I will definitely be buying from American Meadows again."

Lots of Western native blues!

"This blues variety is an excellent choice for CA gardeners since many of the flowers are our natives! I love blue flowers so I used this mix to help fill out some large areas where the individual species have been planted in the past. For those who've not had good luck, it's likely due to not enough sun and/or too much water. . . they need a lot of the former and little to none of the latter once established. Think hot and dry areas in your garden for best bet with this blend. Hope this helps."

110 Yosemite Dr.

"I'm using the Blue Mix to cover a short but steep hillside that I don't want to mow. It was too rocky so I've added topsoil and will plant more of it next spring. It grew pretty fast and is already a great improvement."

Satchels of Blue Wildflower Mix gifted at Memorial

"Satchels of Blue WildFlower mix given at husbands memorial ceremony. Great way to have a beautiful living reminder of his love and caring spirit."

It didn't work for me

"The flowers didn't come up very strongly. They were Limp and sort of weak. Not my favorite. The one that was so successful from here was the dry mixture. They came out like crazy. So many California poppies and red poppies. That one was quite spectacular."

I love blue flowers!

"Adds a beautiful blue section to my wildflower meadow. So far I only see one type of blue flower. Hoping different ones bloom soon."

Almost total loss

"Have invested thousands of dollars in seed for large wildflower meadow and results are very poor. Some sort of grass that we've never seen here and that is only growing where flower seeds were sown. It's a very pretty grass, but it's not what I paid for and it is forcing a full restart (if we can get rid of it at all. It may well have destroyed any change at a wildflower meadow. I tried to give Am Meadows benefit of the doubt by giving seeds a full year — hoping done just needed more time — and all that did was to miss the window for reimbursement. So trying to fo the right thing has cost me not only the many hours and thousand in prep work, but also everything I invested in AM seeds."

Not a good mix

"I planted approximately 5000 sq ft last fall, for a small meadow. This "Mix" was for approximately 1000 SQ ft and did see some bachelor buttons, not many though. The majority of where I seeded ended up clover strangely. The rest of my fields with other mixes came up and are filling beautifully with the varieties I purchased. All of my fields were completely cleared and prepped as instructed as well as seeds sown . I won't purchase the blue mix again although I really wanted these flowers over all the other varieties I purchased. I still don't understand the clover, guess I wouldn't have minded if it were the red variety. Now I didn't plant the clover and it's ONLY in the field where I sowed the blue mix. For me, the amount of seed I purchased for my entire project was not cheap so yes I am a bit disappointed and if the perennials in this blend don't show this next season, I won't purchase from American meadows in the future nor will I point family or friend this direction."
