How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
This legume is extremely easy to grow and will thrive in most soil conditions. It will take over most areas where it is planted, even overpowering weeds. Plant Crown Vetch in hard to reach places where you would like erosion control and some pretty color that does not need to be maintained.

"Deer love to eat it, rabbits love to live in it, and butterflies and bees love the flowers. Crown Vetch gets a bad rap for being invasive, but its just good at its job: growing and looking good. Plant this on hard to mow areas, and your life will get easier, and your neighbors will think you spent a fortune on landscaping. Be sure to till the soil prior to seeding for fast and thick coverage."
"This plant covers our hill side! It spread really fast and it took no time at all to establish itself in our clay soil! It has beautiful flowers and has a nice green fern like look when not in bloom. Watch out if you do not want this plant to cover your whole hillside though because it spreads fast."
