Ice Follies ranks #3 in the Top Ten Daffodils produced worldwide. (Dutch Master/King Alfred is No. 1.)
Naturalizing Daffodils. Probably nothing in the gardening world is more foolproof and more rewarding than "naturalizing" daffodils. Because unlike most other garden flowers, these fantastic plants are super-easy to plant in fall, they don't care about soil, as long as it's well-drained, and they'll bloom beautifully for you with absolutely no work every spring after you plant them. Best of all, daffodils increase over the years, each bulb developing into a blooming clump. All you have to do is pick the spots. The one thing to remember is that you won't be able to mow that area until the tops die down. Everything else takes care of itself. In a new or established wildflower meadow, the wildflower plants grow up around the daffodils hiding the fading foliage, so there's no work to do. And if you're planting wildflower seed, what could be easier that to pop in the bulbs when you have the ground already turned?

"I ordered in March 2025 and they were shipped perfectly in October 2025, right on time for planting. Planted them right away in Central TX in sun/part shade. Only 2 of 8 planted show any signs of life at all - 2" of leaves have popped through, no flowers yet. Hoping it is still early here and they'll show up as expected."
"I planted these in a row along my fence in my front yard - and they're one of the first things blooming. Such a delight during gloomy days! The flowers are nice and large with exactly the classic charm you imagine from a Daffodil. I'll be planting many, MANY more of these!"
"I was so excited for these. But they didn't come up at all. Nothing. My tulips I bought from here came up and we're stunning. Very sad and disappointed."
"I bought these, and tulips as well in the fall. I planted both, tulips came up right away. These have not even grown. Super disappointed."
"Front & back flower beds. Outstanding and very cheerful & welcoming to see."
"Every bulb came up - flowers are lovely - stems sturdy. Couldn't ask for more!"
"Use where fading foliage is hidden by later blooming plants or shrubs."
"I believe every one of the daffadils came up. They made a pretty spectacular array in my garden and I was pretty amazed. I have not had that great luck in the past in buying from other companies. But I was very pleased this time. Because of a hurt arm, I was not able to get them in the ground at the proper time, usually in late October. It was late November of 2011 before I got them planted. So I just threw all of them in a long row I had predug I did not take alot of time with them, just throwing them because I could not bend down because of my arm. So I was pretty happy that they all bloomed."
"I used these at the edges of several flower beds and loaded the space in front of them with grape hyacinths from American Meadows. Soooo many compliments! What a beautiful color combination! They were so striking together and lasted for weeks. I have dark pink and white azaleas in the beds behind them and the total affect was stunning. The main issue with bulbs, for me, is that you have to deal with the greenery until it completely dies before you cut it back. With these, I place small plugs of annuals like petunias or portulaca & lantana in between the bulbs and they grow to mask the greenery until I can cut it back. I plan to order more this year to put in other beds. A nice change from all yellow!"
