How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
Dutch Irises are the ones you always see in fabulous spring flower arrangements. They're just as elegant in your garden, with tall, stately stems and exquisite flowers in a range of colors. Not to be confused with the even larger bearded or German iris that bloom in late spring, these beauties are early spring flowers, and the bulbs are planted in fall just like daffodils and tulips.
As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge. See our shipping information page for approximate ship dates and more detailed information. If you have any questions, please call Customer Service at (802) 227-7200 or contact us by email or chat.

"Planted in newly cleared area of lawn, so still battling tree roots and ingrown rambling growth that has had decades to establish themselves. . . . next year will be better for these lovelies."
"I added these bulbs near some other irises that are much bigger, and for the first year, these seem much smaller. But I didn't really expect anything to bloom, so they were a pleasant surprise."
"These plants sprouted in early Spring warmth, only to get a deep freeze a few weeks later. Despite that, they still flowered as they should. Every bulb planted grew."
"I planted all 15 bulbs late summer 2011 and all of them came up but only 2 bloomed. I know from experience that new Iris do not always bloom the first year so I was not dissapointed-only anxious for next year :) The 2 blooms that I did get were absolutely amazing- could not believe the exotic colors, looks like an orchid from Maui! :)"
