How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
One of the major colormakers in established meadows. Clumps are very tough and increase rapidly with more and more bloom. This is the grandfather species of many coreopsis hybrids.

"Wow these flowers engulfed my plants! But look amazing in both gardens, will be planting more!! Love them! The bees love them!!"
"I'm not too optimistic when it comes to certain seeds taking hold because I have hard clay soil but. . . . these beautiful yellow flowers grew so quickly, almost couldn't believe it. Also, when I first looked out back, I thought I was looking at Black/Brown Eyed Susans, had to look at the Lance Leaf on this website to make sure I was seeing what I was seeing. I LOVE yellow and orange flowers and would love to have millions more. If these are the results of the few handfuls of seeds I threw out, I will definitely buy more. . . and more. I have purchased different seeds over the years from AM's, not all took hold, it was very disappointing but these have made up for that."
"Strictly for pollinators and native planting initiative. They bloom early spring down here in NW Louisiana. . . late February to early March"
"I am always in search of wildflowers that are heat & drought tolerant, low water use, pollinator friendly, and rabbit proof. Coreopsis fulfills all those criteria. It is very hardy, having survived 40 days of 110+ degree temperatures with just one watering each morning. It continues to bloom in late August, plus it has lovely foliage so even when it ceases to bloom, it is still attractive. It attracts pollinators but is not plagued by unwanted visitors (destructive insects, rabbits). I highly recommend lance leaf coreopsis to Zone 9 gardeners (and, based on reviews, apparently it grows well in other, less severe zones too)."
"I just THREW these all over the front if my property in mulch and I've got so many growing all over the place!"
"Lance leaf coreopsis mixed with black eyed Susan provided continuous color, Spring through Fall. Deer browse young coreopsis plants, but most survive."
"Love the fact it hardly takes any effort to grow these"
"There is no evidence of germination. The other three types of seeds I bought have germinated and flowered."
"i have ordered wildflower mixes that have these flowers in them , so i figured i would buy more individual seeds and could have even more of these pretty yellow flowers. i have spread them a few times already in the yard and nothing comes up. very disappointing as i was looking forward to them and if the company looks at my order which was 3/28/22, they were just bought recently, so not like they are old seeds. you get lots of seeds and i bought 1/4 lb and i have still have more left but it doesnt appear to be promising. i would recommend them if they would grow. . . . . but would say that i didnt have any luck"
"Even though they aren't supposed to bloom year one a lot of them did. Large single bright yellow blooms. I think every seed sprouted. The cost was low. The cultivation easy. The results dynamic. Next seasons bloom is going to be over the top."
