Very inconvenient to find planting information

"Not happy that the Microclover package does not have any planting info of value. The QR code just has generic information. I don't think I should have to go to your website to find this information. The wildflower package is an older design that I am familiar with and the information and instructions are great on it."

Loved the first round I

"Loved the first round I did, but when I went back to fill in spots this spring, I didn't get the same results. Either got a bad batch or fall was better for seeding than spring. Will keep trying to fill in those gaps."

I felt your service was

"I felt your service was pretty good… I am sorry to say that the lilies of the valley laid in a hot mailbox I have one out of the 15 that did not fail. I also questioned that they were mailing this out so late in that Arizona gets very warm very fast. Thank you for your communication throughout the sale and best wishes on your continued success."

Inconsistent Quality Between Batches

"I’ve purchased microclover seeds from American Meadows for the past three years with great success, which is why this experience is so disappointing. This year I bought three bags, and while one performed beautifully with strong, healthy germination, the other two had a nearly zero germination rate. I’m very familiar with growing microclover and have done it multiple times without issue, so this was not a user error situation. Based on the results, it’s clear that something was wrong with these two bags of seed. As this company seeds are quite expensive for this product, I will be ordering from a different company for microclover next year. You can clearly see in the attached photo where the older seeds left over from last year were used first, and they came up beautifully. The newer seed was sown directly beside it at the same time under the exact same conditions and failed to germinate. Any green patches in that section are almost entirely weeds that I’ve been hand-pulling, trying not to disturb any potential seedlings."

Great for shady areas that won't support grass

"ZONE: 8b (PNW) I have 75-80' cedars, so DEEP shade. While grass barely grows; moss does fairly well, though there are areas that get a bit TOO much sun for moss. This leaves those areas to be filled with weeds; so I finally gave up and decided to try microclover, and I'm quite happy with the results. Since you can't use "Weed N Feed" type products with clover, I'm reseeding to try and help smother out the moss and remaining weeds a bit faster (note: I should have done this a month or 2 before I ever tried clover). First year it filled in, but not as thick as I desired since I only bought a 1/2lb. It also took close to 2 months to germinate (April to end of May), so I bought some more microclover to fill in. At the end of the season I ordered a 1lb bag, and put it on the top shelf of my 'fridge to over winter. Spread it out around the 1st of last May and it germinated within 3 days. Bought another bag to overseed this year and tossed it in the 'fridge for the winter. Same results. . . spread the first week of May and germinated in 3 days. My *guess* is it likes the chilling, followed by warmer temps when spread in the Spring? It stays quite short. . . I'm guessing due to the deep shade. The only reason to mow every few weeks, is because of the scraggly grass and weeds here and there. It looks good and I'm very happy with it."

Worth considering!!!

"For my small space…. . 12x30…. this fits the bill!!! The clover is easy to maintain and the green is sooo peaceful to see. Our mini doxie loves it and she doesn't seem to ""kill"" it !!!"
