This cool season grass grows to be about 18” tall and the cool season grass is one of the earliest species to grow in the spring. We recommend cutting once it reaches ankle-high and then cutting every 4-6 weeks after that. Although this grass is a perennial, it may need to be re-seeded in the fall or spring, depending on usage.

"I found no matter what grass I planted, its' resiliency failed with two large dogs running around back there. The backyard consists of a deck, gardens and ponds with waterfall. Hence, the grassed areas were absent. Now, the grass is back and I am letting it grow high. I water frequently in areas that the grass is still sprouting from bare earth. If you have a similar issue, you might want to consider using this product. I had some experience with it because I have been around farms, horses, etc. It is never to late to give it try."
"I used these seeds in combination with red and white clover to provide some wildlife habitat. The land where I sowed the seeds is a ways from my house and has no access to water so I wasn't able to give the seeds the best care, though I watered when I could. I also wasn't planting at the best time being early spring. Despite this, the seeds all sprouted quickly and the grass looks vigorous. Very pleased with the performance of this seed."
