Anise Hyssop is a native perennial that keeps you in fragrant pollinator heaven from mid-summer to fall. With a sweet licorice-mint fragrance, long lasting pale purple flowers, and an easy-to-grow nature, this is a pollinator powerhouse favored by bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Its leaves make a delicious tea too! Deer and rabbit resistant. (Agastache foeniculum)

Plant did not come back in spring. . . but. . .

"I planted the plant in autumn, properly placing it a couple feet from my Veronica Speedwell, thinking the blue color would nicely offset their bring pink spears. Unfortunately Spring came by, and no Anise Hyssop. Just the 2 lovely Veronica Speedwell from local nursery. Plant is dead, and not coming out. I live at 9,000 feet in Colorado Rockies, could be the problem? So I will stick with getting just seeds from American Meadows."

Love, love, love these! Plant them!

"Love these! Planted 2 last fall. Now, it's July, and they're both flourishing! Big, bushy, strong very healthy plants. 3 foot tall already, and almost a foot wide. We had a cold, winter with piles of deep wet snow. A late wet spring. And, probably a burning hot summer to come. And, they are doing great. Planted in a sunny spot with bee balms and coneflowers. They'll bloom in the next week or so, can't wait!"

Meadow sage plant is doing very well.

"Arrived as a small healthy plant. Has grown into a fabulous addition to our flower bed. The pollinators love it."

Hardy and fast growing

"When the plants arrived, I was afraid they wouldn't make it. The cold snap made it look like they were done for. . . but these plants had strong roots and are growing quickly. The leaves are a lovely color of green with traces of purple, and they taste amazing. I can't wait for them to grow big enough to harvest regularly. I expect that they will multiply by the end of the summer."
