Wonderfully Packaging--Arrived in Great Condition

"These ferns arrived in great condition. I have ordered lots of plants from different companies and American Meadows is the best at getting healthy plants to my doorstep. The ferns themselves are small, but that is no surprise as the size was clearly stated in the plant description. They send small plants because that is what ships best. Anyway, the ferns arrived healthy and attractive. I'm sure they will grow into beautiful plants."

The BEST fern variety ever

"Polystichum acrostichoides (aka Christmas fern) is best grown in shade or semi-shade in a moist soil, although it will tolerate some direct sun early or late in the day. Once established, it gets bigger each year. However, it is not invasive. Best used for naturalizing. Deer and woodchucks seem to have no interest in eating these plants. This is my favorite of all the fern varieties. I'd be very happy to have an entire yard filled with them. Given the right conditions, this plant will reward the fussiest of gardeners."

Christmas Fern

"Seems to be very slow growing. Not sure how big it will be. But very attractive!"

Native choice for Chesapeake Watershed

"Chose this & Lady Ferns because they're on the U. S. Fish & Wildlife Service "Native Plants for Wildlife Habitat and Conservation Landscaping: Chesapeake Bay Watershed" list. Planting in a wooded spot in the garden that backs up to a parking lot. Only saying 4 stars now since they've just started - will let you know how well they take in the long run. . . ."

A winter hardy fern that has done well.

"I purchased this fern for a container accent plant. I has grown to a larger size and is attractive. Neighbors have asked me if it is real! Still green during cold weather."

Ron T. (5/5)

Healthy, growing plants

"I'm starting a fern collection in my shadier areas and these are a pleasing addition with their bright green shades."

Lynn (5/5)

Perfect Addition

"Wanted to add some additional Christmas fern to my woods. Purchase them last fall. They are coming big and strong. Looking forward to enjoying them next winter when everything else dies back."
