How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
Multi-blue has flowers that fool the eye, since the newly-opened blooms seem to have a small reddish center, but as the flowers mature, that center expands to a puff of blue much lighter than the petals. The overall effect is of a vine with flowers of various colorings. A real beauty. This one blooms both early and late summer.
Multi Blue is a type 2 Clematis. Clematis in this group produce flowers from both the prior year's growth and the current seasons. The best time to prune them is in early spring.
As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. "This little vine is only 18 inches tall and is already blooming happily."
"This is it's first year but it is climbing well and produced some healthy flowers. I am anxious to see how it does next year and if it will survive the winter. Clematis thrive in my area so I have high hopes."
"I was unsure when I first opened the package when it arrived the first week of May. The visible plant was only about 2 inches tall and looked very fragile. But when I removed it from the container to plant it, the roots were 8-9 inches long. Now, five months later, the plant is 6 feet tall! And, as advertised, it has bloomed both in the spring and is blooming again now. I am very pleased--and just hoping it survives the winter!"
"It grew so fast after I planted it. Before I knew it I had gorgeous flowers."
"I just bought these and they have been very easy to grow so far. I have them in little pots for now until I get my pergola moved so gthey can grow on that."
"Great for trellis and they are the most vibrant of the colors I have seen. When the petals fall off then you have another flower to work with. They really catch your eye and I have recieved so many complements on them. /"
