With a little deadheading, Gallardia Arizona Red Shades will bloom all summer long, providing vibrant color to almost any perennial garden. Like all Gaillardia, this variety thrives in full sun and tolerates most soil types. It is unappealing to deer and rabbits, but attracts pollinators to the garden all season long. A dwarf variety, Arizona Red Shades grows to be only 12” tall and makes for the perfect border plant, container perennial, or small space staple. We love Gaillardia because it is so easy to grow and works really well in hard-to-maintain areas of our gardens.

After a slow trip across the country plants were stressed

"Scattered among other flowers in my beds. One died immediately and doesn't seem to be sending up new growth. One looks good and one suffered serious die back, but I'm hopeful it is sending up a new leaf from roots. Love gaillardias and hope these two remaining ones will survive."

ALWAYS blooming despite the weather.

"Use these plants along edge between weeping holly tree and pool pavers. Bloom constantly until they wear out. No break for rest in FL spring, summer, fall, winter."

Shame on American Meadows

"Ordered 36 plants and they arrived in the poorest condition you can imagine. 4 are nothing but a rotten stalk with no leaves and the rest are yellow leaves all wilted over. Water and some sun for 48 hours have done nothing to improve their condition. I love Blanket Flowers, I will still plant them but because our growing season is not long, they'll probably be a bust this year, and I can only pray they'll survive the winter and be better next year."

I would buy this plant again

"Great for the front of the garden as it's a low lying small plant continuously in bloom once it gets started."

Beautiful color, grew quickly

"I didn't realize that this plant would be so short and I fortunately planted it mid garden, it however flourished and I just transplanted it to a more suitable place in the garden. Could not believe how healthy and how quickly it grew."

Beautiful healthy plants!! I would buy again!!

"Non stop flowering and the flowers last a long time! Nice compact plants. They arrived very healthy and some already had buds on them! I would highly recommend this planned!"

Did well the first season

"Bought four plants that did very well the first summer. The flowers were prolific and attractive in my border. Unfortunately, only two survived to come back the following spring."
