Description
Sunstruck Heliopsis (Heliopsis helianthoides) (PP25,524) boasts bright blooms in a compact form for wildlife-loving gardeners. Unlike many of its siblings, its compact size works beautifully in the front of garden beds. Deadheading those deep golden blooms will keep the plant blooming for weeks. The creamy variegated foliage makes this a great choice for eye-catching containers. Pollinators love the open flowers, and birds will feed on the seeds, so leave standing over the winter season. Heliopsis is a short-lived perennial native to eastern and central North America. It is a fast-growing plant for sunny, average soils and will tolerate poor soils. Pair with other sun lovers like Russian Sage or Cosmos for an airy, natural effect.

I would buy again.
"I love the variegated leaves and the they flower all summer long! I can never find sunstrcuk heliopsis in our local nurseries. This is the second time I ordered from American Meadows. The I love that they guarantee their plants. I have 3 that didn't come back and hoping to get them replaced cause I planted them as borders in my plant bed. I highly recommend these."

"Long-lasting flowers, plant is doing well in high 90s full sun, clayish amended soil, average water. Foliage is less variegated at this time, but perhaps that will come back. Ordered Fall 2021 and it lost it leaves in the winter. Now that it's better established in 08/2022, we'll see if it can stay evergreen in our zone 9b. Considering buying another."
