Indian Pink or also known as woodland pinkroot is a stunning perennial because of its vibrant red color. Its best to be planted in late summer or early fall to ensure summer blooms. It’s a favorite among butterflies and hummingbirds. Indian Pink should be planted along the wood edge or in a shaded garden. Its growing nature prefers neutral, well-drained soils. Plant with Ferns, Columbine and Turk’s Cap Lily Bulbs.
As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge. See our shipping information page for approximate ship dates and more detailed information. If you have any questions, please call Customer Service at (802) 227-7200 or contact us by email or chat.

"These American Meadows Indian Pinks have grown beautifully. I'm coming back for more!"
"I'm still waiting on this plant to make an appearance. I bought three and they were planted per instruction but nothing has sprung, so…fingers crossed! Am really hoping they thrive and spread."
"I contacted an American Meadows representative, and they said to wait a few more weeks - then contact them again if there is still no growth."
"Waiting for a replacement to be available because plant didn't survive. Customer service is great and on top of everything."
"I will try to grow these one more time. The pictures are too pretty for me to give up after my first try."
"This is a gorgeous plant, but only 2 out of 3 survived to make it to this season, and it is not flowering or showing signs of flowering. Otherwise the one survivor looks healthy. I love this plant though, and ordered 3 more on sale (bare root) to try again!"
"I ordered 15 bare roots. The squirrels ate all but one. It is now under a cage. I have ordered again & will keep them under a cage until well established."
"Received roots and I planted right away. Out of the 12 that I bought only 2 grew this spring. That's not a good %. And they were expensive. Gave 2 to neighbor and hers didn't come back either. We followed directions explicitly."
"Very surprised that out of the two bags non grew and not available this Spring. Love to try them in the future. Substitute replacements, red lupine came with distressed pest leaves so will see if it grows."
"I have my plants in full shade. They have done well although they have not spread. Great color for an otherwise green shade garden."
