How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
The Lamiums are called by the somewhat alarming name, Dead Nettle, but that means only this amazing little plant is related to stinging nettle (a rough weed) and doesn't sting...so being a dead nettle is a good thing.
The strange name aside, these short plants(6-10 high), when well grown, can add glistening sheets of color to shady areas were color may be missing. Plant them with Hostas, Bleeding Hearts, and other shade-lovers. They cover the ground so completely they smother out any invading weeds.
As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge. See our shipping information page for approximate ship dates and more detailed information. If you have any questions, please call Customer Service at (802) 227-7200 or contact us by email or chat.

"I have a very dark shade garden behind the redwoods in the picture, and every winter they drop about a foot of what I call "redwood feathers" all over the ground. This lamium was the only thing that made it through and actually kept spreading under all that! So I planted ten more, I will add more pictures of them. I'm technically in zone 10, and they've made it through a couple very hot summers, probably because of the dark shady spot they are in. I love the light mint color and lacy leaves!"
"I was amazed at how well my Lamium plants are doing in spite of the abuse that they got from me. I was sick in May and unable to get my plants in the ground until late June. We kept them watered and then got them in the ground around a Cornus mas tree. Now in August in the blazing heat, my plants are doing very well. If they had not been such good quality when they arrived, I could not have expected such great results."
"With the right hand tilled loose soil this plant will spread within two years. I'm in my third year and needs triming, because I have woodland phlox in with the lamium."
"My lamium were doing amazingly in the spring! Then all of sudden in July it just died off by getting brown and scraggly and losing 'limbs'. Don't know if was water or soil conditions or slugs or what. Will try again next year!"
"Plants were the best packaged I've ever received. All (16) were very healthy and hardy. This was my first order. I was very impressed."
"I purchased 16 White Nancy Lamium about 6 weeks ago and due to an extremely wet spring, Wuhan virus, and my own physical limitations, I have yet to get these in the ground, so I can't claim how wonderfully they're growing, yet. What I can say is how strong and healthy they were upon arrival and how well they were shipped and packed. I was delighted. A testament to that is that all are (still) alive and in not bad shape in spite of the planting delay. I have every expectation they will all survive, but if they don't, that would be on me and not AM. I hope to get them in the ground this week. My first experience with AM and it was a very good one. I will not hesitate to deal with them in the future."
"no problems works great as a ground cover. . wish it was just bit large plant when sent out but its a tough plant once it takes ahold"
"Used as ground cover in my Red, White and Blue garden. Perfect!"
