'Zebrina' Mallow is a magnificent plant with spires of striped, raspberry-pink flowers that look like pinwheels. A long-blooming plant that starts its show in mid summer and delivers vibrant color through fall, 'Zebrina' is often covered with butterflies, and visited by loads of honey bees and hummingbirds. Beautiful flower, beautiful leaf, fast grower.

"The mallow is a section of a long pollinator flowerbed I'm working on. So glad American Meadows sells the kinds of plants I want."

It's a WINNER!

"I garden in zone 10 and these wintered over just fine in their pots. I'm really attracted to the rich colors of the flowers. The flowers have this bi-color going on where one will be pink with rich raspberry colored throats and then another flower would be a creamy white with raspberry. It is beautiful! Seeds are easy to collect!"

Would buy again

"Stands out in the garden. Something was eating it (we have a lot of critters)"

Beautiful if the critters don't eat it

"Planted in the butterfly garden. It has chicken wire around it so the critters can't eat it."

Japanese Beetles love it (unfortunately)

"I tried a few of these two years ago my first year in central Virginia. While the plant thrived and use lovely flowers, it was absolutely covered in beetles and seems to be their favorite snack besides my rose bushes and my chokeberry - so if you don't get Japanese beetles - definitely recommend (many of my friends live outside beetle range so I've recommended)"

Looks just like the picture!

"Absolutely beautiful. Very tall and can stand up to wind beautifully. Self seeds like crazy though, so it's perfect for a field or large area. Bumblebees love it!"

Very happy with this plant

"I planted this in the spring as a small plug and it has performed beautifully. It has several strong stems and has been covered in blooms for months."

I bought two of these in late March . . .

"and they were tiny plants in 3" pots. They arrived in good condition and I planted them right away and for a while they didn't do much. One of them was so small, people kept stepping on it. Thenm at the beginning of June, they exploded in growth and are blooming. The one that got stepped on is about 2' X 2' and getting bigger by the day. The other one is in a shadier spot and much better behaved. Both are blooming."

Plant is growing great

"The plant looked sort of small when it arrive, though in excellent condition. After planting it didn't do much for a few weeks and I wondered whether it would make it. Then, suddenly, this week it literally tripled in size and started sprouting flowers. I guess it needed some time to lay roots and get acclimated, but once it did, it's a beauty."
