'Foxtrot' Fountain Grass lives up to its namesake, dancing upon the gentlest of breezes to invigorate the garden. Everything about this plant moves, from the flowing foliage to the arching pink plumes. An early bloomer among grasses, 'Foxtrot' sends four-inch plumes skyward mid-summer through fall. The soft bottlebrush blooms are tinged pink to maroon and glisten in the sun. A long-time industry favorite for exceptional dependability, this is among the largest and strongest of fountain grasses. Fast growing, low maintenance, and will not reseed. (Pennisetum alopecuroides)

Healthy Plants!

"I purchased four flats of these to plant as a hedge along our gravel driveway. I was skeptical about buying this many plants and expected some to arrive dead. But to my very pleasant surprise every single plant was alive and healthy. I wanted a smaller size because we had to dig a lot of holes and these were a great choice. But for a 3. 5 inch pot they were full and ready to grow bigger. I am really excited to see this hedge grow in the next few years. Thank you for the good quality control, I would definitely buy from American Meadows again."

"Little bitty plant is thriving and growing. Came in cardboard and dry. Should shipped be in plastic"

A performance in Year 1!

"We purchase two trays of 18. The plants arrived in great condition, but we were surprised by how small they were (6-8"). This is not a knock. I reached out to American Meadows to ask about this in advance, and they were transparent on this point. Can't stop a girl from hoping for something bigger though. :) I should not have been concerned. These went into a steep-ish slope, full sun, planting as directed with only a little root start mycorrhiza into clay soil, Zone 7B. They slept for a couple of weeks, but after a nice rain they took off and doubling in size about every month and a half or so until it got cold. Picture is terrible but shows the hill and size after only a couple of months. Plumes were this wonderful pink-tinged foxtail, as advertised. Beautiful. They continued to grow a little during the mild winter, and we're about 3' tall! I know they will bush out even further and put on an even more lush and beautiful display this year. Highly recommend and looking for more places to plant."
