'Hameln' Fountain Grass is a smaller variety with three distinctive seasons of stunning displays in full sun or part shade gardens. First, fine-textured green grass blades up to 3 feet tall are tipped with soft, wheat-shaped seed heads. Foliage turns rust gold in autumn, and finally, pale blonde in winter. 'Hameln' is a favorite for birds and resists hungry deer. A great match for late-season perennials and colorful shrubs in the mixed border, as well as cut or dried flower arrangements. Looking Great!

"My Hameln Fountain grass is doing very well even though it is hot and dry here in south Texas. The seed heads look beautiful blowing in the breeze!"

Hardy little grass

"I planted 5 of these along my walkway. They started off tiny and I wondered if they would ever flower. They finally did about a month ago and they all look very healthy, even in this heat."

Beautiful plant

"Bought this to put around an outdoor seating area, received it in spring and it grew all summer. I bought quite a few and only 3 didn't make it."

Adds texture and beauty to my garden. High quality

"Planted easy, grew well. Overall very happy."

I would buy this ornamental grass again

"I received nine Hameln grasses. They were small making it affordable to get that many. Eight survived as I planted last Fall, not a good time to plant ornamental grass. The surviving eight look great."

AN ATTRACTIVE GRASS FOR THE GARDEN!

"I bought two of these beautiful grasses about 3 years ago and they are just gorgeous to look at out in my garden! I love them so much that I have another 3 ordered to be shipped to me this fall. Very attractive in the garden and provides cover for birds and other creatures. Very hardy and dependable perennial plants."

pleasantly surprised

"These plants arrived in little 1 inch pots in April 2015 and I planted them immediately. At the time they were dormant, which translates to "they look dead"! I couldn't have been more wrong! I thought I would probably have to wait until at least next summer to see any real growth, if they grow at all. To my surprise, they have grown to about a foot and a half and all of them already have the beautiful 'feathers'. Next summer they will be gorgeous! Wouldn't think of shopping anywhere else for my plants. Thank you!"

Perfect fit in the garden!

"They arrived alive and well packaged. I planted them the same day the arrived in late April (zone 6) and within 3 to 4 weeks they were established and growing. They reached their potential by August and have looked great since! Had a wet prolonged spring, but they held their own."

Glorious Grass

"This is a wonderful little grass that makes a great addition to mixed containers. It is difficult to find and American Meadows is the only place I could find it. The prices were more than reasonable."
