Peony Coral Sunset buds open up in early spring as deep, rose-coral and slowly fade to yellow as the season progresses. The semi-double blooms are fabulously-fragrant and make gorgeous spring bouquets. (Paeonia lactiflora)

This is amazing -- like getting two peonies in one!

"This is amazing -- like getting two peonies in one! Each long-lasting blossom begins as a brilliant coral hue, morphs into a peachy yellow, followed by a delightful golden hue. So marvelous is the transformation, whether as a cut flower or on the plant, that I am seeking a time-lapse photographer to capture the whole sequence. The plant has doubled in size this year from its first year of blooming last year and the number of blossom has tripled (in hardiness zones 5b and 6a)). The large blossoms are soft but robust."

LOVE the coral peonies

"I planted these coral peonies in a nice sunny spot. They are the first peonies to bloom each year. Love the coral color. After the initial bloom, they lighten up just a bit and turn a pretty pinkish color. Love them and would buy many more! Since they are early bloomers, if there is any weather change, snow/cold, they most likely won't bloom that year, but they'll be back the next year. You may only get one flower per plant the first year, but you'll get more and more and more."

Peony Sunset gone :(

"I bought 2 Sunset Coral peonies on sale last summer. I gave one to my sister and I planted one. They where small, but we had hope. Both kind of disappeared before frost and never came up this spring. Not having kept my receipt we did not use the warranty. But got brave and ordered again. These are bigger healthier looking plants. They will not bloom this year but HOPE for blooms next spring. Finger crossed and receipt saved."
