‘Festiva Maxima’ has been a garden favorite for more than 150 years! Large white flowers, handsome foliage, and enchanting fragrance are the hallmarks of this beloved early-season peony. Burgundy spring foliage and yellow fall color add to the charm of ‘Festiva Maxima’. Makes a stunning specimen in the early summer garden. Strong stems are excellent for cutting. (Paeonia lactiflora)

My Favorite Peony!

"Big, beautiful, white blooms with a pink accent covered my peony this year. It's planted right next to my front door and provides a wonderful fragrance every time I pass by. This is absolutely one of my favorite plants and I look forward to its blooms every spring."

Beautiful Plant

"I bought 1 one of these and 2 of a different Peony last fall and planted right away. The Festiva Maxima was the first to start growing. It's been fun to watch it's transformation throughout the spring. Right now the plant is lush and beautiful. It's gotten fairly large for it's first year. Can't wait for it to start flowering in a couple years. I wish I had bought 3 of these instead!"

Good root stock

"This was a good root stock with a few growing eyes. I planted it immediately and it is thriving in the soil mixture. It was well packed."

Wonderful dispaly of color.

"These are lovely penoies, which thrive in full sunlight. The ones I planted in partial shade have not done as well as the ones with full southern exposure. They are easy to plant and very forving of my heavy clayish soil. These provide a real bang for the buck; however the blossoms are short lived. They came as nice big roots - surprising large for having come through the mail. I'm looking forward to this year shipment to extend the bed."
