Purpleicious' Vernonica (also called Speedwell) brings intense violet color to the summer garden on fragrant, tapered spikes. Attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds, 'Purpleicious' is overlooked by both deer and rabbits. Growing to only about 20” tall atop clumps of 6-8" mounded, green foliage, plant this one in a container or border garden for a gorgeous, fragrant statement. PP#17639 (Veronica)

Pollinators galore on nonstop blooms

"Love the purple color of the flowers on this prolific bloomer. Easy care, just deadhead occasionally for continuous blooming. We provide drip irrigation to these plants and they are thriving. Zone 7B"

Beautiful in my front step container!

"The purple veronica is beautiful. I've had many compliments. The small iris I purchased with it didn't fare so well. Darn it."

I would buy again

"Beautiful flowers and growing well in garden."

"Use for attracting butterflies and hummingbirds."

Alex (5/5)

Beautiful, hardy plant!

"This plant arrived healthy, came right up, multiplied during the season, even produced some stalks of white blooms along with the purple. Our first frost didn't affect it. The speedwell seems to enjoy the rock garden site and adds to the beauty of my vineyard, which lies just beyond the rock garden."

The L. (5/5)

Awesome plant!

"Of all the plants in the garden, THIS is the one that the bees go to! It is also the deepest purple and draws the attention of all my garden visitors, insect and human! This is a great choice for a beginning gardener to get beautiful results fast!"

Paul (5/5)

fantastic

"I plant a lot of salvia and veronica in this z4a because they are hardy and beautiful, and it is wonderful to have a taller spiked-form rising above other, smaller forms, esp. against the golds like coreopsis Zagreb."
