ZONES  5-9 | Good to grow! Zone

A native treasure found in woodlands and open fields, Wild Spiderwort has light purple flowers with a unique look. Three petals surround vivid center stamens with contrasting chartreuse anthers. Growing in clumps formed by arching, grass-like foliage, Wild Spiderwort is apt to spread and mutiply, making it a great choice for edging beds. Prefers moist soils. (Tradescantia subaspera)

Outstanding in the field!

"A best-kept secret! This plant is best propagated by division of clumps which form 3-4 years from seed. Easily grown and naturalizes to the point of being perhaps invasive in some applications. A very pretty, tall, uniquely shaped and interesting looking plant and flower. Wort means common, but not in regards to this very special cool blue flowering plant."

Spider Wort -- A Plant with no Bother

"Hearty native plant which requires little to no care and blooms profusely. A very good value."

This plant sprouted up right away and brightened up my ferns

"I planted this in a big container with ferns in a shed corner of my deck. These flowering woodland plants are just what I needed."

IT DID NOT BLOOM YET, BUT THE PLANT LOOKS GOOD.

"I HAVE SEEN THIS PLANT BEFORE AND IT IS A VERY BEAUTIFUL AND UNUSUAL PLANT"

LINDA (4/5)

Tiny Flowers

"I didn't really know anything about the plant before I ordered it - the flowers are much smaller than I expected, maybe an inch or so in size, but there are also more of them than I thought - so it balances out. I'm still glad I bought it, I just need to think about moving it to a different place next year, as it didn't work as intended in my container garden."
