How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
Yet another stunner in the fantastic New Vintage⢠series of compact, drought tolerant yarrow, New Vintage⢠Violet Yarrow is a beautiful compact addition to meadow gardens, flower gardens, and borders - planted for both pollinators and gardeners. Held atop ferny foliage, the flat umbels of New Vintage⢠Violet Yarrow create a landing pad that attracts all manner of pollinating insects. Planted in a sunny location sheltered from strong winds, the sturdy flower stems of New Vintage⢠Violet Yarrow will not require staking. The flowering heads appear in late spring and will last for several weeks. Deadheading Yarrow when the flowers begin to fade will result in a second flush of deer-resistant bloom later in the season. A great choice for a dry sunny garden, for cut flowers, and will hold its color as a dried flower as well. Yarrow plants are biological nitrogen fixers and will help to improve your soil nutrients.

"I love my yarrow and cant wait to see it attract pollinators!!!"
"Excellent groundcover. Outstanding color! Pictured are 5 plants in their 2nd season planted."
"It made it thru a Denver winter beautifully and is putting on a great show. Very strong and compact plant"
"I received the small yarrow cutting in the mail and was kind of disappointed in its small size. I took it out of the carefully wrapped packaging and transplanted to a larger pot until I could decided where to plant in my garden. I was surprised at how quickly the yarrow started growing! It soon filled the larger pot and the root system had already expanded throughout the soil and was on the way to becoming root bound. I haven't gotten any flowers yet (only a month or so since got the plant), but I am so incredibly surprised at how healthy and quick growing this yarrow is! #sweepstakes"
"I bought these for my garden. They arrived half dead. It's been 3 weeks and there has been a slight improvement. Guess I will have to wait and see."
"Started out so small but then really took off! The color is gorgeous and looks great as a cut flower. Bees are loving it too"
"Survived through the winter and came back nicely. Pretty purple flowers"
