Prairie Sage, also known as White Sagebrush, is a native perennial with soft, silvery green foliage, and cheerful yellow blooms through the summer months. It can form dense colonies, multiplying via rhizome, which makes it a perfect choice for a meadow or prairie planting. The flowers will bring many pollinators to your garden, even serving as a host plant for the American Lady and Painted Lady butterflies. Thrives in full sun to part shade and is extremely easy to grow. All of the seed we handle at American Meadows is non-GMO, neonicotinoid-free and guaranteed to grow. Perennial.

Very invasive but makes a nice ground cover when kept low

"These seeds do extremely well in southern Arizona maybe too well - I planted a native assortment of seed and these and a yellow-gray leafed plant are the two that multiplied with a few tall yellow paintbrush-like flowering plants- I weed whack it down as a groundcover and it looks great and has covered all the stones in my yard - It takes over so if you do not want a yard full of this sage only use it in a meadow situation"

"I'm not sure if it was just me, but my prairie sage never grew. So disappointing. Willing to try again though!"
