Dazzling, bright orange blooms illuminate the late spring meadow, creating an unforgettable statement. Siberian Wallflower is easy to grow, adapting to most soil types and growing in partial shade. Growing to only 10-18” tall, we recommend planting this bold beauty in the front of the meadow or garden. All of the seed we handle at American Meadows is non-GMO, neonicotinoid-free and guaranteed to grow. Biennial.
One of the most brilliant orange flowers of all, this short species with phlox-shaped flowers can color an entire meadow. It is not as hardy as “Siberian” implies, but when established, can be a great permanent addition to meadows.

"This was included in a mix I seeded last year and it is still going nuts right now in May after weeks of blooming. Really abundant and a very striking companion with the purple allium blooms floating above a carpet of wallflowers--I already had the allium bulbs planted in the same bed."

Thriving on steep slope
"I am trying to cultivate a meadow on a steep slope that is frequented by deer, groundhogs and lots of invasives in NY's hudson valley. A sisyphean task. These beautiful and hardy flowers established themselves quite well in the steepest spots and are left alone by the critters. They have spread in year 2 and are quite a sight to behold!"

Extremely tough plants!
"I did a dumb thing. I weeded a bed and seeded it with these flowers and I must have stirred up a bunch of dormant weeds because the bed was immediately overrun. I went to weed a couple of months later, and I was just going to start over but I noticed that these flowers were hanging out in and around the weeds. I weeded and mulched and the wallflowers started growing again immediately! They are super hardy, and survived in and around those weeds for several weeks. A few of them were even growing in places not even the weeds were surviving. They are absolutely perfect for my shady little bed. I can't wait to see them bloom next year!"

Color is stunning
"I've been trying to cultivate a wildflower meadow in my front yard for three years now. There's been a learning curve as I am a native midwesterner relocated to the southwest (Albuquerque, NM). I finally realized that I need to amend and work with my soil in order to get ANYTHING to grow, including wildflowers. Once I began to do that, I also began to have success with wildflower growth. Siberian wallflower is one of the wildflowers that has returned this year & it looks absolutely lovely. The color is deep & vibrant - stunning! I would recommend this perennial for this area. It comes up in early spring and seems to tolerate dry sandy soil."

Tremendous germination
"Wonderful reseeding and heavy growth"

Great Flower, blooms early and reseeds!
"I have to agree with the others that reviewed this flower. I have it planted by my mailbox in soil that is dry, full sun, with little water (unless I do the honors or it rains). This flower performs well year after year and even allowed me to divide it in the spring. Not only that, but I was able to get seeds from it as well. It starts blooming in early April and continues through the end of May. The leaves remain green and vibrant and I have had it bloom twice, perhaps from off shoots. I love this flower and you will too!"
— Avid G. (5/5)
THE WALLFLOWERS ROCK
"my new favorite. they thrived in bare patches at the bases of trees where nothing, not even weeds will grow. they bloomed very early, around easter and are just getting started. it's nice to look at the orange flowers under all the trees when nothing else is blooming yet. i'm buying in bulk this time because i would like to have them year after year."
— Sunnyboy (5/5)
These are really stunning in spring
"This flower bloomed in my garden as a part of the perennial mix. They were stunning in the spring with Dame's Rocket."
