Sadly, a failure

"I normally have great success with American Meadows seeds, but sadly, I only had one seed germinate out of the 1/4 pound bag. I gave seeds to two other avid gardeners who had none germinate, which was embarrassing. Since I had designed an area where the success of this plant was necessary to complete the design vision, you can imagine my disappointment when it failed. But I still rate American Meadows very high because of great success with other mixes. I just won't recommend this particular seed."

Yes, I jusdt ordered seeds again, for a different area

"After several years of frustration I finally discovered that patience is important. I seed in the fall (Wisconsin). This year I waited it out and finally there was growth; I had to identify the very young spider flower plants and then pick the weeds out between them. I think every SF seed eventually sprouted and grew. So, I have plants coming into bloom over several weeks, Both area that I seeded are dense with spider flowers and they look great."

Spider plantsu

"The directions said you can plant them in the fall or spring. I found that those planted in the fall did not do well at all, most never came up. This is disappointing as then I have to purchase them again."

cleome as part of dove management

"I actually use these as part of preparation for a dove field. I have a large bed in my back yard and have had Cleomes there for years. Each and every year from late July until frost, doves are always feeding on the seed. I planted the 3 lbs I bought from you adjacent to sunflowers i had planted to attract dove and they have worked very well in attracting dove."

Mud (4/5)

Great looks, low maintenance

"I am in the larger Pittsburgh area with plenty of rain, not so many sunny days. I sowed the spider plant seeds relatively late, compared to the suggested time, so it started blooming as much later, but it was absolutely maintenance free and they have been blooming for about two months now. They are vigorous, somehow the deer doesn't like them. I am trying to re-claim an area for wild flowers from overgrown 'weeds' in a larger corner of my yard. Started with a smaller section this year, but expanding the next, experimenting with other species as well. The spider flower is definitely a keeper."

Great grower, even in a drought.

"Your seeds are used exclusively at our Children's Petting Zoo. Flowers are used to add to the effect for the children and they love walking through the paths and gardens. We have many groups of ill and injured children and they really love the bright colors that your seeds produce."
