Rolled petals tightly pack the 4" diameter blooms of 'Cornel Bronze' Ball Dahlia, creating beautifully symmetrical orbs in shades of sun-kissed bronzed orange. The weather-resistant flowers perch atop tall, sturdy stems, making them a standout in the garden. Ball Dahlias are appreciated for their weather-resistance, with durable blooms atop tall, stiff stems. Plant extra for bouquets — the color, size, and shape of the flowers complement other summer blooms, and they boast a long vase life, too. Bring your patio or deck to life by growing these beauties in containers, where you can enjoy them up close.
Dahlias are perennial in zones 8-10, but in cooler zones, tubers can be dug after frost comes, stored over winter, then re-planted the following spring. Grow Dahlias in a sunny spot, in average soil that drains well. Keep moisture consistent once it begins to grow and enjoy a non-stop color parade. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage more flowers and pinch off small side buds to encourage larger flowers if desired.
