3rd year Crocosmia is a stunner!

"I am totally in love and blown away by my Crocosmia's showing in its 3rd year. Even though this is sold in the spring, it doesn't bloom in its first year like other Spring planted bulbs. This can work as a perennial down to a zone 5, so while it sent up great green growth the first season, I didn't see blooms until the second season. The Crocosmia has also naturalized for me, so the growth and blooms are even more abundant in their 3rd year. The hummingbirds love them! We put up a hummingbird feeder, and when the Crocsmia is in bloom, they completely ignore it. We planted the Crocosmia all in one place, around our bird bath, and it is the central point of our gardens in the backyard."

Incomplete blooming

"Package was received in good condition. Ten corms were planted in my full sun bed after the spring frost date. All produced foliage. Only one produced a flower. Disappointing."

Waiting for next year

"Well planted bulbs, greens came out about 18" tall. But no flowers. All sprouted, just no flowers, will give it till next year."

Brilliant Color

"These grew but didn't bloom the first season, but came back the next spring and out on quite a show. Hummingbirds all over them."

Murdered by drought/100°+ all summer 😭

"Spring was perfect. They were doing so well until July. Slowly they burned up before blooming. I couldnt rescue them. Hopefully they will return next spring."

I would buy these bulbs again.

"Six of the ten bulbs sprouted the first year. Great result for a perennial in hard clay soil, with a short growing season and intense sun. We didn't expect blooms until the second year and one of the plants bloomed the first year. Most of the plants are already spreading. Overall, a great result!"

I've been trying to get a successful crocosmia for 3 years.

"It's just so nice to buy a product from a garden supply company and have it actually grow! And look beautiful at that!"

Will know next year.

"These plants are doing very well, but they have not bloomed. I am still working on creating garden space so for now they are in a container, and that may be the problem. They sure look healthy and happy, though! I'm hoping if I can get them in the ground that they'll bloom next year."

Waiting for blooms

"Healthy bulbs and all have come up with healthy green leaves, but still waiting for blooms. It may be that they will bloom in the second year."

Healthy bulbs, finally!

"I've purchased crocosmia bulbs a few times online and they never came viable and as large as these bulbs from American Meadows did. I almost cried it was such a beautiful sight. After waiting almost 2 years, I finally got crocosmia growing in the garden."
