How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
Stunning Dahlias have taken the gardening world by storm. They’re available in a broad range of flower forms, with colors ranging from soft pastels to vivid hues to deep rich shades, and they’re a must-have for cut flower bouquets. Dahlias are perennial in zones 8-10, but in cooler zones, tubers can be dug after frost comes, stored over winter, then re-planted the following spring. Grow Dahlias in a sunny spot, in average soil that drains well. Keep moisture consistent once it begins to grow and enjoy a non-stop color parade. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage more flowers and pinch off small side buds to encourage larger flowers if desired.
As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge. See our shipping information page for approximate ship dates and more detailed information. If you have any questions, please call Customer Service at (802) 227-7200 or contact us by email or chat.

"This dahlia easily doubled its other dahlia friends in the patch this season in number of blooms. It started early, bloomed in force and is still going strong in late sept. I'm addition to being prolific it is beautiful!"
"This was one of my favorite dahlias this year. Simple, mostly white with lovely color just edging the leaves. Interesting petal shape. I potted with a bit of tomato fertilizer when I put them outdoors and grew them in large containers. The first buds were larger and fuller than the last bunch and the petal shape wasn't consistent but they were still pretty. Beautiful cut flower."
"I love these dahlias! They are beautiful both in the garden and as cut flowers and bloom like crazy!"
"When it came up we were just stunned! A great surprise and we got so many blossoms, so were very happy that we pinched them back when they first started. They branched out, and still are producing beautiful flowers! Go well with most other colors, and look amazing with our white dinner plates! A must for Dahlia lovers, and quite different!!!"
"I had plenty of these flowers bloom and they made great cut flowers."
"I love a field of dinnerplate dahlias and this is one of my staples!"
"Will use in flower arrangements and bouquets for my daughters wedding."
"I grew these per the instructions, and they are currently in bloom. The flowers look similar to the pictures, and the plants have produced many blooms. I will say that the first few blooms were very impressive and that all blooms since have been much smaller, and die quickly."
"My first try at growing Dahlias and I'll do it again with a few more bulbs. These look really beautiful with my Thomas Edison. Enjoying them cut, too. I have to go out every day and check my Dahlias."
"This is the first time I've planted any bulbs. While they were easy to plant and grow, they were mostly white. The description said pink/purple tints on the edges. Maybe soil played a part, but the flowers we got didn't have those highlights on the edges. Still pretty and hearty plants and flowers."
