How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
Foxtail Lily has been a favorite for years. The flowers are colossal--up to 7 feet tall in several colors. This one is brilliant yellow with orangey highlights. Natives of Afghanistan and Turkistan, foxtail lilies grow so tall they may need staking if in a windy setting. They make great cut flowers, lasting for up to two weeks in an arrangement.'

"I bought 2 of these bulbs because I have always wanted to grow these. I planted them just as the instructions said to. Both bulbs ended up dying and one was replaced and it never grew, and the other one barely started growing and died. By that time they was out of stock. So I never did get to see these grow. I was really disappointed about it. But so far everything else that I bought from American Meadows seems to be growing great."
"I did not know this plants is dormant and growing its roots the 1st year. Then will grow up and bloom the 2nd year. Looking forward to next season to see these!"
"Takes a while to sprout but you won't be disappointed. You can hide them among other plants mine are next to a white meadow rue and the big tall yellow spike shoots up and what a pop of color the flower lasts a long time. My friends have already ordered some for themselves"
"Foxtail lilies look great in a rock garden. They add a lot of vertical interest and color mid-season, and bees love them. I paired them with purple Liatris for repetition of shape and contrast in color. I would recommend Eremurus bungei highly."
