Mexican Sunflower brings a profusion of firey-orange color to the meadow with gorgeous green, fuzzy foliage. It's zinnia-like flowers and sunflower height attract butterflies and hummingbirds, making it perfect for a pollinator garden. Mexican Sunflowers may be smaller than traditional sunflowers but the abundance of bright blooms more than makes up for their size! Amazing as cut flowers, and deer resistant. All of the seed we handle at American Meadows is non-GMO, neonicotinoid-free and guaranteed to grow. Annual.

One of my favorites in my roadside planting

"I mix these with my zinnias and cosmos and plant along my roadside at my rural home in Kentucky. The butterflies and bees love them!"

I will buy this product again

"These came free with giant sunflowers I bought. They feel amazing to the touch. The color of the flower is bright and small."

Butterfly Magnet

"Although this can grow to 15 feet, so plan accordingly, it is the most amazing addition to our butterfly Gardens, of which we are on the North Carolina Butterfly Highway. Everyone is dazzled by the vivid orange blooms covered in butterflies. Drought tolerant."

Willowgait (5/5)

Attractive plants that tolerate hot and dry conditions

"I use these plants in fairly large groupings to provide bright color and to attract bees and butterflies. They will grow in average soil, and required minimal watering even during the past few dry summers."

I love these and have shared them

"They keep blooming"

Mexican Sunflower Seeds - Great for high sun

"This is a most amazing flower. I planted 2 seeds and they grew like a beanstalk!! I grew them in an area that is all day sun. They grew to be 6 and 7 feet tall and 2 to 3 feet wide, wider at the top. It is mid October in NY and they still have over 20 flowers on them. They are great for privacy and completely filled out an empty spot. I am going to put them all over next year and especially in places where there is full sun and hard to grow."

Stunning Eyecatchers - Right into November !

"Wow! Stunning bright almost florescent-orange blooms on nice multi-stemmed stalks. Took the seeds awhile to really get going, but once they got established the stalks really took off. Very colorful eye catchers for the annual or perennial border. Finches & warblers love the seeds at season's end. It's the beginning of November here in Maryland (Zone 7), and we still have blooms."

Maro2Bear (5/5)

Looked great

"The seeds worked out great"

Nemes (5/5)

Hoping to see big red blooms this summer

"So far so good but it's only the end of June. . . a little early to give a through assessment. However the plants are growing nicely and enthusiastically. I cannot wait to see the blooms. They make wonderful models for oil paintings and attract plenty of bees and butterflies."

Charkalina (4/5)

Awesome results!

"Bought them towards the end of Summer last year and planted a small test plot to see how they do and for the butterfly migration. Outstanding results with several butterfly species using them."
