A must-have for any sunflower lover, Red Sun’s vibrant, maroon petals are offset by dark centers, creating a unique statement in the summer garden. Blooming a little later in the summer and growing to be about 5-6’ tall, this Sunflower extends the bloom season with a splash of vibrant color. Red Sun is a fantastic cut flower, often lasting up to 10 days in a vase. Bonus: bees, butterflies, birds and hummingbirds love this open-pollinated variety! All of the seed we handle at American Meadows is non-GMO, neonicotinoid-free and guaranteed to grow. Annual.

Bright Bloom

"I planted other flowers in my pots, but put the sunflowers towards the back since they take a while to germinate and now I have big beautiful sunflowers that All the neighbors compliment me on"

Small but pretty

"Very pretty dark red sunflower, produced several heads but stayed relatively small in a bed with other wildflowers."

I would buy this over & over again. Just BEAUTIFUL!

"Just used in my garden as a pollinator (bees love them) and they are breathtaking"

Swampa (5/5)

Not one Red Sun Flower. Got some tall yellow sun flowers.

"Did not get any Red Sun Flowers at all. Got some very tall Yellow sun flowers; they look pretty good."

So far, so good

"I ordered these as a backup for other sunflowers. These had a very high germination rate, are hardy, and continue to grow in some poor soil. Planted these around March 10th of this year. I'm having to thin them out a bit, but I don't mind. I'm just glad they're doing so much better that the others. I will have to wait to see what color(s) they really are, but so far pleased with their growth."

The E. (4/5)

There were some red ones but most were yellow and amber.

"These flowers are beautiful but they are mostly yellow, some amber and a few red. We thought they'd be mostly red. They are very drought resistant and last a long time."
