Spring Structure and Elevation

"Tall, elegant and dramatic … a perfect white sphere adds spring flowers to a green backdrop. After the flowers are gone the sphere remains as a pale green that picks up sunlight and will standout against a shaded or dark green background. Otherwise, will appear more subtle against more busy gardens. Love it as a group of 5 or so. Looking forward to see how relevant they remains through autumn and winter …"

Best bulb for bees

"Deer avoid this and bees, especially bumble bees go crazy for them. I planted about a dozen and they massively multiplied over a period of 4 yrs. Divide and transplant is easy but it will be a season or two before they bloom. I harvest the seeds and toss them. I accidentally dropped a bowl of harvested seeds in rocks and they came up the next season. Still waiting for bloom. Bulbs obviously bloom the summer after you fall plant and they stay blooming throughout the fall. Make sure to harvest the seeds. They are plentiful. Low/no maintenance. I live in dry zone in the mountains and they have done well surviving -25. Worth every penny."

Climber (5/5)

good naturalizer

"this is the third year they have been in the ground, both plants are bigger than ever, and they both dropped seeds in the fall, now I have probably a dozen new plants!"

Looking forward to these!

"These were a gift in the fall to a daughter who lives in the northeast. They have not shown themselves just yet but when they do, they will be amazing. These are gorgeous in the garden and better still, to dry them for arrangements."
