temperatures; the lower the zone number the colder the winter.
If the coldest winter temperature expected in your area is -15°F (zone 5) then any plants rated zones 3-5 will
survive the winter temperatures in your area.
If you live in very warm winter areas (zones 9-11) plants with zones 3-4 ratings are not recommended. The lack
of freezing winter temperatures do not provide a time for winter dormancy (rest).

Masses of deeply pink blooms are held above and within blue-green foliage and provide a vertical statement in a small space. That ultra-compact habit means it plays nicely with others in a container situation or massed at the front of garden beds. Adding a tropical feel to your garden couldn’t be easier. Like all the cannas in the Cannasol™ series, ‘Happy Isabel’ is virus-free, a vigorous grower and a great hummingbird attractor. It will grow in light shade with moisture retentive soil, but prefers full sun – particularly near or in the shallows of a water feature. In zones 3-6, let the frost brown the foliage and then dig rhizomes to store in a dark, frost-free basement.
