"These mini daffodils have done really well in a sunny spot between young perennials, even with crazy weather and spring snow in Colorado."
"Very pretty! I love their mini size."
"A beginner with bulbs, living in an area that doesn't really chill down for more than a few days. That being said, I enjoyed planting the daffodil bulbs in my pots, although no blooms ever appeared. Lots of greenery but no color. Since I had huge success with the tulip and crocus bulbs, treated the same way (both storage and planted in pots), and the daffodil shoots were many and thick, I am at a loss to explain the lack of daffodil blooms. There obviously was something in my planting scheme that selectively affected the daffodils. I have no answer to that."
"Needed a cheerful early bloomer that borders some specimen trees. These are perfect."
"These look so cute planted with muscari!"
"These are one of my favorite new flowers! So many blooms from one small plant. They look adorable with the grape hyacinths and just keep blooming and blooming. So cute in bud vases. I'm buying 100 more for next year."
"These are the most adorable flowers and I won't do without them!"
"I planted 100 bulbs in my landscaping in front of the house. They all came up and provided a beautiful welcome to spring! I plan to order more in the spring."
"Groupings along the front of a garden, around trees, along sidewalks/pathways"
This is the small, early daffodil everyone loves. Its so popular that even though it's a miniature, it ranks a stunning No. 4 on the worldwide popularity list of all daffodils. (Right after the big champions like Dutch Master and Ice Follies.) With strong stems popping up to only about 8 or 10', it is very close in form to the wild daffodil it was hybridized from, which is an important benefit to wildflower gardeners. Narcissus cyclamineus is a very famous wild species that was native to Spain and Portugal. It is thought to be extinct today, but we have several hybrids made from it, such as Tete a Tete. This daffodil is actually a cross between two like parents, thus the name, which means, literally 'Head to Head', and usually describes an intimate conversation.
Note the slightly 'swept back' petals which is what gave it its botanical name; it was thought to look like a cyclamen, which has similar petal structure. But the best part is the ease of adding Tete a Tete to your meadow. The bulbs are tiny, so planting is a snap. Plant them and forget them...until spring comes and they're popping up to greet you. You'll have them for years.
