How do we use your location?
Knowing your location helps us recommend plants that will thrive in your climate, based on your Growing Zone.
Dahlias are perennial in zones 8-10, but in cooler zones, tubers can be dug after frost comes, stored over winter, then re-planted the following spring. Grow Dahlias in a sunny spot, in average soil that drains well. Keep moisture consistent once it begins to grow and enjoy a non-stop color parade. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage more flowers and pinch off small side buds to encourage larger flowers if desired.
As soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive a second email the day your order ships telling you how it has been sent. Some perennials are shipped as potted plants, some as perennial roots packed in peat. The ‘Plant Information’ section describes how that item will ship. All perennials and fall-planted bulbs are packaged to withstand shipping and are fully-guaranteed. Please open upon receipt and follow the instructions included.
Perennials and fall-planted bulbs are shipped at the proper planting time for your Growing Zone. Perennial and fall-planted bulb orders will arrive separately from seeds. If your order requires more than one shipment and all items are shipping to the same address, there is no additional shipping charge. See our shipping information page for approximate ship dates and more detailed information. If you have any questions, please call Customer Service at (802) 227-7200 or contact us by email or chat.

"This dahlia performed beautifully for me all summer with long stems that made it easy to cut single blooms for arrangements. I had some blooms that closely resembled the picture on the AM website, but others that had much more color to them (see pic). I was very happy with this robust plant!"
"While Caribbean Fantasy is one of my favorite dahlias in my garden, I feel I need to share that I have never seen any of the flowers look anything like the picture on your website. This is my second year with these tubers and so far no two flowers have had the same color pattern. Sometimes, it is"
"Loved the color and variety of this one. They were constantly changing."
"Wonderful in bouquets and in the garden"
"I plant Carribean Fantasy every year - it is a strong grower, reaching about 3 feet in height and a prolific bloomer. My favorite attribute is that the flower color changes as the temperature and daylength changes. The flowers gain more maroon-purple tones as the weather cools in fall, and at any time the plant can have several different multicolored flowers on it at once. By far my favorite Dahlia"
"Love the color pallet on this flower,"
