"Very nice bulbs produced bright good-sized flowers."
"These Hyacinths were very striking this Spring and made a real impact. The color is not a true blue but rather a deep dark purple"
"I use these in the front of the house and the blue is beautiful! American meadows provides comments and sends when they can be planted."
"Have had these in my front garden for years and they bloom less than they did for the first few years so just bought a new bunch of bulbs this year - can't wait for them to bloom!"
"Just tried these against yellow daffodils for contrast and liked the outcome. Need lots more now."
"EXCELLENT!"
"These were the first bulbs I purchased after I bought my house. They were the first to bloom in the Spring and are still going strong. They require little maintance and provide a nice fregrance to my front gardens. I plan to purchase more to expand these into other areas of my garden!"
"These survived a horrible hailstorm right as they started blooming and still looked stunning. Unfortunately the blooms don't last terribly long (2 weeks at their height), but that's just how hyacinth are. They are worth every bit of it. The only negative with the particular bunch I had was that one of the bulbs was diseased and did not manage to come up."
"i put these near front door they smell soooo good six are not enough i want more!"
Blue Jacket is one of the popular newer hybrids, and no wonder. In the flower world, purple is common but blue is very rare. In fact, true blue is the rarest color in flowers. So here you have it--all the heavenly fragrance of the hyacinth and true blue, too! Planting Hyacinths: Daffodils may be the symbol of spring. Tulips add dramatic color. But its the hyacinths that bring the perfume. One of the most powerfully fragranced blooms in the flower kingdom is the justly famous Dutch hyacinth--the result of hundreds of years of hybridizing a lovely little wildflower from Turkey--now an upright torch of incredible color and unmatched perfume. Plant your hyacinth bulbs close together for a dramatic display, either in groups of one color or as a rainbow of several shades. Many gardeners think they look best in close groups of 3, 5 or more. Hyacinths must have good drainage, so be sure to plant them where they'll never be in standing water. With some shade, the flowers will last longer than in full sun. And next spring, don't forget to stop and smell the hyacinths!
