Meet Mike "The Seed Man" Lizotte

Meet Mike The Seed Man

Anyone who has had the opportunity to hear Mike Lizotte talk about wildflowers will know that his passion for these plants has deep roots!

Mike has been working with American Meadows since he was just 13 years old. As a teenager, he helped with maintenance, seed packing, and shop work. Over time, he learned to identify hundreds of seeds and developed a deep love for wildflowers, earning the nickname The Seed Man.

One of his favorite parts of the job is seeing the pride gardeners take in their wildflower success. This inspired him to grow his career, and in 2009, he and Ethan Platt took over the American Meadows seed business. Mike continues to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with gardeners everywhere.
