Scent FirstĀ® Romance Dianthus (Garden Pinks) is compact in habit, but not short on blooms. It gives sunny gardens a beautiful display of salmon pink blooms in late spring and a spicy sweet fragrance. āRomanceā also boasts an attractive, low mounding habit of spiky silver-blue foliage, perfect for border edging. Deer resistant. Great cut flower. (Dianthus)
(11ātall x 11āwide) Thereās nothing old-fashioned about Scent FirstĀ®
āRomanceā Dianthus. The ruffled blooms of this Garden Pink unfurl in
late spring in shades of salmon pink with a crimson center and are bred
specifically for scent and compact habit. Dianthus makes a fantastic cut
flower, and the spicy, evocative fragrance is sure to encourage you to
cut a few of those sturdy stems for inside vases. Grow in well-drained,
alkaline to neutral soil in the front of a sunny bed or border or get
creative ā Dianthus love cracks between paving stones or bricks. The
spiky, silvery blue foliage is attractive during the entire growing
season and will make a great contrast against yellow flowers, such as
coreopsis, as summer rolls on. āRomanceā Dianthus is deer resistant and
will re-bloom if deadheaded and fed after its initial spring bloom. A
terrific perennial choice for containers too.

"Received VERY small plants. I was a little disappointed because, I could have gone to my local greenhouse and spent the same amount of money for plants probably double the size and ready to bloom, if not with blooms already out. Hopefully, I’ll be happy with them later in the year."
— Cynthia B. (3/5)
Grow your own bouquet
"I planted the Scent First Romance last year; this is the first year it has bloomed. It is gorgeous, and it is like you are growing your own little bouquet in your garden. This plant has multiple pale pink blooms. It is petite, so it is great for the borders of your garden and would be excellent for cut flowers."
— Leigh (5/5)
Multiple flowers just like advertised!
"I just received and planted my Romance Dianthus about three weeks ago, and I am blown away that it is already blooming. The pink flowers are fluffy and large for the size that the dianthus will mature to making it an absolutely beautiful front of the garden plant. I need to order more!"
